Life is not a dress rehearsal!!

Where Does The Time Go??

I can’t believe its the middle of September and I haven’t posted anything in two months!! Where did the time go? It’s so easy to get caught up in the day to day minutiae and lose focus on our goals. We become distracted and lose momentum, become complacent, begin to settle, let self doubt creep in and take our most precious commodity – OUR TIME for granted.

When I started this website, my intention was to help everyone realize that Life Is Not A Dress Rehearsal. My goal is to have a website which is a wake up call and reminder to my friends that every day is a gift, that life should not be taken for granted, to follow your goals and to live with no regrets.

And yet so easily, all of these things are exactly what I did. The intention was there but day by day, I let something else be a a priority. I stopped focusing on my goals and then it became harder and harder to get back into the swing of things. I began to kick myself because I’d lost the determination, desire and will to follow my dreams.

But this is something that happens with so many people when they start out with a grand goal. I realized just because you may get side tracked doesn’t mean you have to give up on your goals. I needed to re-prioritize and remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

That’s also when I decided to create a schedule for my goals and time daily to follow my dreams. I also scheduled benchmarks bi-weekly to keep focus and moving forward. I started saying no when my allotted time would be interrupted and avoided the people that I realized were time drains and Debbie Downers.

Be encouraged, stay positive and know that any steps towards your goals are still steps towards your goal.
